Birmingham Bears batsman Adam Hose is set to return home early from his spell with Wellington Firebirds in New Zealand’s Burger King Super Smash after experiencing discomfort in his right knee.
Withdrawing Adam from his time with the Firebirds is a precautionary measure.

Hose, who scored two half centuries and averaged 48.75 in his six games for the Firebirds, will report back to Edgbaston this week for further assessment by the Bears science and medical staff.
Jim Troughton, First Team Coach of Birmingham Bears said: “Withdrawing Adam from his time with the Firebirds is a precautionary measure. We cannot take any risks as a club when it comes to his fitness for the 2019 season.
“Adam is obviously disappointed as he has really enjoyed his cricket and the experience gained from playing in a new competition overseas, but also from working with such a good group of players and management.
“I’d like to personally thank Bruce Edgar, his staff and players at Cricket Wellington for making Adam feel so welcome during his time with the club.”
