Jake Lintott will play for the Barbados Royals in the 2021 edition of the Caribbean Premier League.

The slow left-arm unorthodox bowler will head to the tournament straight after the Bears Vitality Blast quarter-final against Kent on Friday 27 August and return ahead of Finals Day.

Lintott, who signed a three-year contract in February this year, has burst onto the scene with a string of impressive white ball performances.

The 28-year-old has taken 25 wickets in 19 matches for the Bears, including a career-best four for 20 this year. Playing for Southern Brave in The Hundred, Lintott is tied-second with ten dismissals in seven games.

Previously known as the Tridents, the Royals changed their name due to the owners of the Rajasthan Royals buying a majority stake in the side.

The Royals kick-start their campaign on the same day as the Bears T20 quarter-final against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Due to the overlap between the Blast and CPL, Lintott will be available for seven games after missing the opening three.
