Birmingham Bears Women and England star Amy Jones is looking forward to tomorrow’s Sydney derby after making her debut for Sydney Sixers in the Women’s Big Bash League earlier today.
Jones (23), who helped the Sixers to a 16-run victory over Hobart Hurricanes, told the WBBL club’s website that she’s ready to jump headfirst into the clash with the Thunder at the SCG.
“It’s very exciting to sign with the Sixers,” said Jones. “I watched a lot of it last year, and really wanted to be a part of the Women’s Big Bash.
“So it was fantastic news when I found out I’d been signed.”
