All-rounder Matt Lamb was delighted to contribute to a Bears win on his Vitality Blast debut against Lancashire Lightning on Sunday afternoon.
Lamb hit an unbeaten 29 off 21 balls, including three fours, to help his side post 179-6 off 20 overs as the Bears sealed victory by 15 runs.
“I really enjoyed it,” Lamb said. “It was my first one for the Bears and my debut in the competition, and it was really nice to get some runs at the end. I thought I hit the ball well and it was nice to get the team up to a score that in the end won us the game.
“I really enjoy the format. You can go out, express yourself and not worry too much about batting time. You can go out there and play the shots you’ve worked on in the nets.
He added: “In this game, like any sport, momentum is a massive thing. A win here, we play Lancashire again on Friday, win there and winning becomes a habit. We just want to continue to tick over, win games and give ourselves the best chance to finish as high as possible in the table.”
