Warwickshire batsman Matt Lamb hit 205 runs at the new Edgbaston Foundation Community Ground yesterday in the 2nd XI friendly with Middlesex.

Lamb (20), who signed his first professional contract last month, struck 24 fours and two sixes in a 309 ball innings, which ended when he was bowled by Anshuman Rath.

The Bears first innings closed on 475 all out in response to the 482 posted by Middlesex.

Today is the final day of the four-day friendly.
