You don’t want to miss our opening home game on Sunday 21 July. Expect a carnival atmosphere as the Bears take on Leicestershire Foxes, with a number of live music acts now confirmed for the season opener.
We will have acts playing in locations around the ground pre-match and during the interval, entertaining visitors and getting spectators on their feet before the big match.
#BePartOfIt and secure your tickets today. Supporters can save £6 by purchasing their tickets in advance. And under 16s go FREE to all games at Edgbaston this summer.
New York Brass Band
You may have seen them at Edgbaston before as the ‘Yorkshire Tea Band’, and the seven-piece brass band will be back this July playing their repertoire of party hits and crowd favourites.
They will be performing pre-match in the Exhibition Hall, before doing a set pitch side before the start of play – getting you on your feet and in the mood for the first ball to be bowled.
Dhol Drummers
Back by popular demand following their performance at our Edgbaston Foundation Community Fun Day, we will have dhol drummers from Sampad South Asian Arts & Heritage performing at our opening home Bears match this summer.
Dhol, a double-headed drum widely used throughout the Indian subcontinent, will be played by three performers in the Exhibition Hall pre-match from 1pm and during the interval.
Steel Drum Band
Bringing the sound of the Caribbean to our very own Edgbaston Beach, the Steel Drum Band, based in Birmingham, will be performing pre-match.
Arrive early to take advantage of our early bird food and drink offers and enjoy the live music on one of our deck chairs at the Beach.
Tickets can be purchased online at birminghambears.com, over the phone by calling 0121 369 1994 (option 1) or in person at Edgbaston Stadium (not during the World Cup).
