Varun Chopra’s Warwickshire were in high spirits knowing victory over Rob Key’s side would secure another trip to Lord’s and a chance to claim a second piece of silverware of the year after victory in the NatWest T20 Blast in August.

Warwickshire fielded a strong side that featured England internationals Jonathan Trott, Tim Ambrose and Rikki Clarke and was complemented by young talents Laurie Evans, Ateeq Javid and Recordo Gordon.
