Elwiss, who joins fellow Midlander Amy Jones, becomes her team’s fourth confirmed signing for The Hundred alongside Jones, Kirstie Gordon and the big-hitting New Zealander Sophie Devine.
It’s going to be great to get started at Birmingham Phoenix. Obviously I’m local to the area and that’s always a bonus, and that’s the same for Amy Jones.

The 28-year-old said: “It’s going to be great to get started at Birmingham Phoenix. Obviously I’m local to the area and that’s always a bonus, and that’s the same for Amy Jones.
“As well as Amy, I think we’ve announced some really good players so far in Kirstie Gordon and Sophie Devine and it’s quite exciting to think what our final line-up will look like.
“I know we’ll have a number of non-international players in our squad, many of them local, and The Hundred will give them a really good chance to impress and progress their game. I can’t wait to get started.”
Elwiss was one of eight signings confirmed today, with each team in The Hundred announcing another marquee player.
