With confirmation from the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) that England’s white ball series versus Ireland will now be played behind closed doors at alternative venues, Warwickshire County Cricket Club and Edgbaston Stadium has provided the following update for ticket purchasers and hospitality clients.

Tickets – England v Ireland One-Day International (ODI)

All ticket purchasers for England’s ODI versus Ireland at Edgbaston Stadium, on 12 September, have the option to keep the value of their tickets as a credit to use on our future programme of fixtures or obtain a refund.

Those who choose to keep the value of the tickets in their account do not need to take any action and will automatically receive priority access to Edgbaston’s major match programme in 2021, before any ticket ballot or general sale process takes place.

Next summer’s international programme at Edgbaston includes England’s One-Day International versus Pakistan and a T20 International versus Sri Lanka, so demand is expected to be very high given the loss of the match days in 2020.

Supporters who keep their ticket value as credit will also receive priority access to Vitality Blast Finals Day 2021 (subject to availability), an event that sold out before general sale in 2020. The credited value can also be used for group fixtures in the Vitality Blast, Warwickshire Membership and major match days in 2022.

If you would like the credited value of your international tickets to remain in your account and to receive priority access to our 2021 major match programme, no action is required and the value of your tickets will automatically be credited to your account.

Those who would like to obtain a refund do need to complete a Ticket Refund Form, which will be sent to ticket buyers via email, before midnight on Friday 24 July. Refunds will subsequently be processed in the final week of July.

If you purchased car parking for England versus Ireland, the value will automatically be refunded to the card that you made the purchase from before the end of July.

Vitality Blast Finals Day

In the meantime, the Club is unable to process any refund requests for these fixtures as per the ticketing terms and conditions.

Warwickshire Members

It is fantastic that county cricket is set to return on 1 August and the Warwickshire men’s squad returned to training yesterday in preparation for the season start.

Details on the formats that will be played will be confirmed in partnership with the ECB this week. However, the Club is expecting at least the first part of the revised season to be played behind closed doors. To support this an upweighted live stream will be being made available for Members and supporters to watch the games live.

We do remain hopeful of having Members and supporters in the ground for part of the season though.

Everyone at Warwickshire CCC hugely appreciates the investment that has been made by Club Members through 2020 season subscriptions and we are also very grateful for the kindness of Members who have already expressed their desire to donate their fee to support the Club at this difficult time.

Once there is a confirmed position from the ECB and Government on how much county cricket Warwickshire Members can watch live at Edgbaston, we will provide an update on the annual subscription packages.

Our thanks go to our Members for their support and understanding at this difficult time and we will communicate any further details of the 2020 season once this information becomes available.

Our Membership team remain available 9am to 5pm on Monday to Friday throughout this period on 0121 369 1994 (option 1) and on tickets@edgbaston.com

Birmingham Bears Vitality Blast Season Pass and Ticket Purchasers

If you purchased a Season Pass and/or tickets to any of the Bears seven Vitality Blast fixtures at Edgbaston, you do not need to do anything at this stage.

We will contact all Bears ticket purchasers once details of a possible rescheduled programme are confirmed and your Season Pass and/or tickets will remain valid for the revised fixture(s).

However, if you are unable to attend the revised fixture(s), once announced, you will be able to swap your tickets for an alternative home game in the group stages of the Vitality Blast or obtain a full refund.

If due to COVID-19, the match is cancelled, the purchaser of the Season Pass or tickets will have an option to claim a refund of the value of the tickets directly to the original payment card used to make the purchase. Tickets purchased using alternative payment methods, or where the original payment card has expired, can be refunded with a cheque sent to the original ticket purchaser.

We thank all Bears supporters for their continued support and understanding at this time.

Our ticketing team remain available for any queries in the meantime during the core hours of 9am to 5pm on Monday to Friday throughout this period on 0121 369 1994 (option 1) and on tickets@edgbaston.com
