It’s not long to go now until our opening home fixture against Notts Outlaws that is also our first ever Saturday night T20 game. Not only is there going to be fast paced, big hitting cricket on the pitch but also there are various activities planned all around the ground. We have a brand new guide for every match day so whether you want to know our picnic policy (they’re allowed!) or if you’d like to find out when our new Kids Zone is open- this is the place to look.

What’s On Guide

Kids Zone

Our brand new Kids Zone will be opening for the very first time at 5.00pm on July 8th, two hours before the start of play. Get down to Edgbaston for when gates open to get stuck into all the FREE activities that are available for youngsters. From giant garden games, to a climbing wall and fun inflatables there’s going to be loads to do. We also have face painters for selected games and a balloon modeller to make Bears out of balloons!

The Kids Zone will be open on July 8th, 16th, 23rd, 30th as well as for our local derby vs Worcestershire Rapids on August 4th.

Bear Hunt

Starting in the exhibition hall, grab yourself a map and find the hidden Bear pop up’s all around the stadium. From ‘Ashley Giles’ New Signing’ to ‘Interviewing Sam Hain’ you won’t expect what’s round the corner! There are 7 to find PLUS  you’ll finish right by the Drayton Manor play zones. Put your skills into action, with bats and balls there to use. Here, there will be a coach on hand to give you tips and tricks in this ultimate accuracy challenge! This will be open for all our matches!

Giveaways

Look out for our volunteers who will be giving out a whole host of freebies including clappits, hairy handbands and autograph bats to name a few. We advise fans to get there early, we only have a limited amount of giveaways and once they’re gone – they’re gone!

Food & Drink

Head straight to Edgbaston Beach, where we offer everything from Halal to Gluten-Free to traditional fish and chips! Some other popular food offerings are our hog roasts, supplied by our Organic Concession Partner Fordhall Farm, a traditional BBQ, and an authentic Noodle Bar. We have also introduced kid’s lunch-boxes with nutritious and healthy snacks for the Little Bears you bring with you. Picnics are allowed- but no alcohol, glass bottles or cans are permitted.

Seating

If you’re after the best atmosphere in cricket, the Eric Hollies (Block 21-30) is our party stand and perfect for fancy dress groups.

The Drayton Manor Family Stand (Blocks 1-3) is home to our responsible drinking zone. Parents can relax and have a drink in a family friendly environment.

Junior Bears Corner- Carmen Bear will be chilling in this area. This area is exclusively for Junior Bears Club members and their families. (Block 34-36)

Remember all seating is unreserved, we encourage our fans to explore the different stands at Edgbaston and find their own favourite view.

You MUST pre book on site parking. There will be no on site parking available on the day to purchase. Members parking is £5 and for non members £10. These WILL sell out so book today.
-If you have a 2017 car park pass you do not have to pre-book

The Real Ale Festival

July 28th and July 30th

Marston’s Brewery, our Official Ale Partners are delighted to support the 2nd Real Ale Festival that the team at Edgbaston.

There will be an eclectic range of ales available, providing a wide range of beer styles from a large range of breweries. This event showcases the unique format that we have developed in partnership with Edgbaston, where we now have two dedicated Real Ale bars for cricket fans. It promises to be an event not to miss, further details will be provided nearer the time.
Entry to the beer festival is completely FREE with your match ticket and the festival will start when doors open at 5.00pm (Two hours before the start of play).

Local Mascot Derby

On August 4th, Edgbaston is welcoming back the famous mascot race! Local mascots from all over the region will join Hugh & Carmen on the start line for the Drayton Manor Mascot Derby. The mascots will tackle obstacles on the outfield. Come on Hugh & Carmen!!

Live Music

We are thrilled to be welcoming back Under The Covers who will be performing on July 8th, 14th, 28th and August 4th. After the cricket finishes, head straight to the Exhibition Hall where they will be performing for an hour after close of play. Skip the crowds, grab a beer and join us.  They boast strong male vocals with a potent rock n roll sound. Their regularly updated set list is a well thought out blend of pop, rock and rock ‘n’ roll covering everything from the 1960’s to present day including The Beatles, Bowie, The Kinks, Rolling Stones, Blur, Oasis, Chuck Berry, The Who, Thin Lizzy, Elvis Presley, The Jam, Tom Petty, U2, Stereophonics, The Killers, Kings of Leon, James Bay and many more, guaranteed to put you in the party mood!
