Warwickshire and England fast bowler Olly Stone will miss the remainder of the 2021 season after suffering a stress fracture to the lower back during England’s recent LV= Insurance Test match with New Zealand at Edgbaston.
“We’re all very disappointed for Olly,” said Warwickshire Director of Cricket Paul Farbrace.
“He’s made huge progress over the last two years after suffering some terrible misfortune with injuries in the past.
“In partnership with the ECB our medical teams will give Olly the best support possible. He’s an excellent character and will come back stronger from this later in the year.”
