Bears Sport Director Paul Farbrace spoke honestly ahead of the shortened 2020 schedule.
The former England coach was asked about Ian Bell and Tim Bresnan’s contracts, Tim Ambrose’s retirement, Chris Green, England opportunities and preparing for the new season.
“I think they’re very much ready and we learnt a lot last year,” said Farbrace.
“Everyone apart from Belly played in the first-team and everyone got a game. Everyone has now got a taste of first-class cricket and if you’ve had a taste of first-class cricket and that doesn’t excite you and motivate you to work harder to get into that team at the regular basis then nothing will.”
