Warwickshire Director of Cricket Paul Farbrace is to lead Team Abu Dhabi as Head Coach in the Abu Dhabi T10 competition, which gets underway on 19 November in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Farbrace will work with Team Abu Dhabi throughout the 16-day tournament before returning to Edgbaston as the Bears teams continue their preparation for the 2022 season.
“The Abu Dhabi T10 has quickly established itself as one of the leading short-form tournaments in the game,” said Farbrace. “Many of the world’s best players take part each year and this is a great opportunity to work closely with them.
“Having worked with players from around the world, I’m very excited to be appointed Head Coach of Team Abu Dhabi and to have the opportunity to help a diverse group of cricketers reach their potential in such a short game.
“Gaining insight in to how the players approach such an explosive competition is going to be fascinating and hopefully there will be many learnings from this competition that I can bring back to Edgbaston to support our development as a T20 team.”

Team Abu Dhabi is one of eight teams in the T10, which first launched in 2017, with all games of the tournament to be played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, which is currently hosting matches in IPL.
