Warwickshire’s official kit supplier PlayerLayer is backing Bears Women as they prepare for their historic debut season as a professional side.
PlayerLayer has supplied Bears kit for the last seven seasons and recently signed a new contract extending the partnership until 2027.
And that contract now includes supplying Bears Women with new training and white ball kit for their debut 2025 season.
Warwickshire’s Head of Commercial Partnerships Ben Seifas, said: “PlayerLayer provided a Gift of Kit allowance for the men’s team and they’ve now matched that gesture for Bears Women.
“PlayerLayer are with us in wanting to inspire more women and girls to play cricket so we’re looking forward to working with them on various initiatives to increase participation.
“It’s a proud moment to see our Bears Women wearing the Bear & Ragged Staff on our new training range.”
Bears Women will make their competitive debut at Edgbaston on 23 April when they start their Metro Bank One Day Cup campaign against Hampshire.
PlayerLayer will provide Bears Women kit for the 50-over competition plus the Vitality Blast Women’s T20 which gets underway on 30 May.
As part of the training kit launch, PlayerLayer has made a kit donation to the value of 150 training tops for boys and girls in the Youth Pathway. And they’ve also agreed heavily discounted kit prices for the Club’s youngsters to help keep playing costs to a minimum.
Roderick Bradley from PlayerLayer, said: “Our Partnership with Bears Women has the PlayerLayer team buzzing.
“It is a really exciting time at the moment for the women’s game; we hope we can drive the momentum further.
“We have some innovative plans over the coming year to bring our partnership to life. Our ethos begins and ends with “Belonging” and the Bears Women are just the role models we need to keep young athletes in sport.”
