Event management specialists Under The Posts has pledged support to the next generation of Warwickshire and Birmingham Bears stars by donating £10,000 to the club’s Academy and Player Pathway.

Under The Posts – which is based in Shropshire – event manages the annual Player’s Golf Day at the Warwickshire Golf & Country Club and the Neal Abberley Memorial Trophy cricket match at Moseley Cricket Club, which features past and present Bears’ players and sporting legends.

Its owner, Tony Andrews, said: “Warwickshire CCC is very much our home club and we have been working closely with members of the Bears squad on charity events and benefit year initiatives for the last 10 years.

“We’re thrilled to lead the Player’s Golf Day and Neal Abberley Memorial Trophy, so wanted to pledge further support by investing in the Academy & Player Pathway. We hope that this can play a role in helping even more exciting, young cricketers develop a future in the professional game.”

Paul Greetham, Elite Cricket Development Manager at Warwickshire CCC, said: “We’ve made huge progress in developing our Academy and Player Pathway in the last 12 months and this very generous support from Under The Posts will allow even more opportunities to develop the club’s next generation of talented cricketers.

“The donation will be used across a number of coaching and development programmes, including tailored Academy support, and the development of some of our most talented county age group players. We’re very grateful to Under The Posts for its support.”

Under The Posts has announced that the 2017 Warwickshire CCC Player’s Golf Day will take place at the Warwickshire Golf & Country Club on Tuesday 15 August and the Neal Abberley Memorial Trophy will be held at Moseley CC on Saturday 30 September.
