Will Rhodes praised the side’s togetherness and clinical nature as they recorded their best ever List-A chase against Derbyshire to win yet another Metro Bank One Day Cup fixture.
Rhodes – who batted at three against Derbyshire, passed 7,000 runs in all formats in another huge team victory. He said it’s nice but is just happy the side were clinical in getting their fifth win in as many games.
The 28-year-old top-scored with (75) but said: “With the chase we were clinical, it was nice to see some of the lads get runs.
“Happy for Burgey getting back into form, nice seeing Bethell come back from The Hundred and play freely as well. It was great play from the top five and it was a clinical run chase.”
On reaching the impressive milestone, the Warwickshire’s Club Captain insists he’s more concerned about the result at the end of it.

Rhodes said: “It’s always nice to tick off these milestones personally, but it’s more about the team and trying to get them over the line.
“It was a shame I went out when I did, but Ethan and Bethell took the game nice and deep, then Hamza and Jake finished the game off for us.”
Having gained maximum points in the competition so far, with just three games remaining, Rhodes is delighted the young players in the squad are helping to contribute to what is a brilliant run.
He added: “It’s nice to see other guys picking up the slack, young Taz on debut as well, Hamza and Kai the list goes on.
“It’s good to see them being up to the standard, so they know what to expect. I thought the way Taz bowled was fantastic, and great for him to get the wicket of the overseas.
“However, the next two games are potentially quite dangerous ones for us, but long may the run continue and there can be more wins for the Bears.”
