First Team Coach Mark Robinson reflected on a disappointing four-wicket defeat at home to Lancashire.
Alex Davies’ cenutry lifted Warwickshire to 327 for nine declared, setting a victory target of 329, with the visitors reaching the target due to Luke Wells’ 175 not out.
“We’re disappointed as we invested a lot into the game,” Robinson said. “There was a lot of physical effort especially so to come out second in what was a really good game of cricket you’re disappointed.
“Since I’ve been at the club with Farby, Will Rhodes and Carlos Brathwaite everything is about trying to put yourself under pressure to win games. You won’t always win, but we did brilliantly to get back into the game.
“We had a choice on how long we wanted to bat and leave ourselves with enough overs to try and bowl them out. Unfortunately Luke Well didn’t let us through and he came out the winner as Lancashire did too.”
