Despite being on the wrong end of a good result there were three notable record milestones that were passed on our trip to Old Trafford.
Captain Ian Bell passed 4,000 List ‘A’ runs for Warwickshire in just 105 innings. This surpassed the previous record of Warwickshire’s Nick Knight, it took the legendary Bears batsman 112 innings to achieve the same milestone.
Staying with batsmen Will Porterfield reached 6,000 career List ‘A’ runs and Jonathan Trott also reached 9,000 career List ‘A’ runs too.
Warwickshire vs Leicestershire Foxes
The boys are next in action vs Leicestershire Foxes on Tuesday 6 May at Edgbaston. Gates open at 1pm and play is set to start at 2pm. Tickets are priced at £15 on the gate and Under 16s can come into all games FREE of charge. Please not all Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
