Warwickshire fast bowler Ryan Sidebottom has joined Derbyshire on a one-month loan deal and goes straight into the squad for the LV= Insurance County Championship fixture versus Middlesex at Lord’s.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Ryan to play first team cricket and build a strong case for getting into our match day 11,” said Warwickshire Director of Cricket Paul Farbrace.
“Opportunities for Ryan to play in the first team have been limited in the last year, but we think a lot of him and he’s had a good pre-season. He can now build on this over the next month by taking wickets for Derbyshire in the Championship and come back ready to challenge the other fast bowlers for a place in our attack.”
Sidebottom joined the Bears in 2017 and has made 22 appearances, taking 58 wickets at 29.60.
