We are thrilled to announce that Edgbaston is getting it’s very own Big Sleuth ‘Bear’ this summer. Up to 100 of the stunning sculptures will appear across Birmingham, and its surrounding areas, for 10 weeks from July 2017.

As Edgbaston is the home of the Birmingham Bears, it was only natural we gave one a home. Our Bear will of course have a cricket theme to it- but which player will be the inspiration behind it and which coach was the designer? Come down to our first home game on July 8th to be the first to see the reveal.

Repeating The Big Hoot’s multi-award-winning formula, Birmingham Children’s Hospital Chairty and Wild in Art have teamed up to present The Big Sleuth. The highly anticipated free, 10-week public art trail, named because ‘sleuth’ is a group of bears, will see Bear-mingham engulfed in colour with up to 100, 165cm tall sculptures taking to the region’s streets, parks and open spaces.

More Information

The official start of the trail for the Bears will begin on July 10th, but if you get down to the first T20 home game here at Edgbaston, you’ll be one of the first to not only see the reveal of our Bear, but also it will be one of the only Bears available to get!

Remember, under 16s go FREE with an adult to all our T20 home group games and our Kids Zone will be open from 5.00pm on Saturday 8th July. The Kids Zone will not only have a whole host of free activities but also face painters, balloon modelers and heaps of giveaways!
