Tickets for Day 2 of England’s inaugural Day/Night Investec Test match against West Indies are no longer available following high demand from spectators.
Starting on Thursday 17 August, Edgbaston also has only limited availability of tickets for Day 3 of England versus West Indies, with almost 50,000 tickets sold across the first four days of play.
Gareth Roberts, Commercial Director at Warwickshire County Cricket Club, said: “We’re thrilled at the response to this inaugural Day/Night Investec Test match, with total ticket sales up 30 per cent compared to last year’s Investec Test match between England and Pakistan.

England versus West Indies at Edgbaston will be fifth time that a Test match has been played in day/night conditions, following previous Tests in Australia and United Arab Emirates, and it will be the first ever in England.
“Edgbaston has been at the centre of innovation within the game for many years,” added Roberts. “Twenty years on from hosting the first ever day/night domestic fixture between Warwickshire and Somerset, it’s a great honour to stage England’s first Day/Night Investec Test. It will be a very fitting way to celebrate the 50th Test match to be played at Edgbaston.”
England have lost just once in Test match cricket at Edgbaston since 2002 and have recorded victories in their last two Investec Test matches in Birmingham; against Australia in 2015 and Pakistan in 2016. However, West Indies is the only nation to have secured more wins over England at Edgbaston with the tourists currently leading the home nation 4-2 in the previous nine encounters between these two great cricketing sides.
