Tim Ambrose has announced his retirement at the end of the season after 20 years in the professional game and has delved into his decision making and distinguished career.

The wicket-keeper thanked everyone for their support during a tenure which saw him win every domestic trophy and score a Test century for his country.

“Since settling on this decision I’m able to look at things and think about the good times, what we enjoyed and experienced, what we won for the club, what it meant to people to do that and what a privilege and honour it is to be a part of this club like this to bring trophies back to a stadium that in my opinion is known for trophies.

“That’s why you should be here and it’s great to be a part of some of that.”
