Warwickshire return to Royal London Cup action this August with Edgbaston hosting four games during the summer school holidays - and under 16s will go free to all matches.
Will Rhodes’ side will start the new 50-over campaign away at Gloucestershire on Tuesday 2 August, before heading back to Birmingham for the opening home match against Sussex on Friday 12 August.
The home campaign will see Notts Outlaws visit Edgbaston on Wednesday 17 August before ending with back-to-back home games against Durham on Sunday 21 August and Somerset on Tuesday 23 August.
Director of Cricket, Paul Farbrace said: “We want to win it – absolutely. We’re not going into this tournament thinking it’s just a developmental exercise. We want those younger players to stick their hands up and say ‘I’m here, I need to be playing in your team.’
Bears will look for big contributions from India international all-rounder Krunal Pandya who has joined them for the whole 50-over campaign. The left-arm spinner and batter made his ODI debut against England last year and struck the fastest half-century (26 balls) in history by a debutant in ODI cricket.
“Krunal will bring us a lot of experience and high quality,” said Farbrace. “We will get ten overs out of him every match and he’s someone who will strike a long ball with the bat. He is a very exciting player to have around and his experience and knowhow can only help the younger players around him.”
All games take place during the summer school holidays and tickets are available to buy online. Adults are £15 while under 16s go FREE to all games.
Gates open from 10am with play starting at 11am.
