And talented seamer Ben Blakemore, aged 18, is one the latest prospects hoping to pursue his dream of playing professional cricket with the Bears.
Blakemore – who made two Second XI Championship appearances for us last summer – has progressed through the Club’s Youth Pathway from Under-10s.
And he’s now been invited to gain valuable experience training with the senior professionals as part of his development.
“I take inspiration from the likes of Ben Stokes and other quick all-rounders. In the current Bears squad I’d say I’m most like Chris Woakes, in the way that I bowl.”
