Warwickshire consolidated their strong start to the season with a high-scoring draw against Surrey at Edgbaston in their Rothesay County Championship match. Warwickshire entered Day four aiming to take Surrey last wicket of their first innings, after a successful evening session on the third day. Despite their efforts, Surrey stood firm until Lunch, with Foakes on 165* and Fisher on 34*. In the afternoon session, Barnard took the last wicket dismissing Fisher caught behind. The Bears put Surrey into bat again, in an effort to go for the win. However, the weather had other plans as a thunderstorm disrupted play and the two teams decided to shake hands on a draw.
