Sport Director Paul Farbrace spoke after the Bears secured Danny Briggs on a three-year deal.
The 29-year-old has taken 568 wickets across all formats in an 11-year career in the professional game, which has seen him win two T20 Blast titles and a One-Day Cup with Hampshire.
He has also won seven T20 International (T20I) and one One-Day International (ODI) caps for England to date.
