“Kiwis love Warwickshire! I want to make my mark as next Blackcap Bear.” | INTERVIEW | Tom Latham 🐻
30 January 2025
Tom Latham has spoken of making his own mark on Warwickshire history as he follows in the footsteps of great Kiwi Bears who’ve made Edgbaston their home. The New Zealand Test captain is set to arrive in early April having signed a one-year deal to play all formats. Fellow countrymen who’ll live long in the memory of Bears fans include Jeetan Patel – who took 742 wickets in 12 seasons – and Brendon McCullum who unleashed a beta version of Bazball at Edgbaston in 2015. “I’m not sure what it is with Kiwis and Warwickshire,” said Latham, in his first interview with the Club. “Plenty of Kiwis have gone before me at Edgbaston which is nice and I’ve heard some great things about the place from people like Jeetan Patel." Tom also talks his role in Warwickshire's 2025 season, the Bears squad...and packing hand warmers for the season opener on 4 April!
