The Bears duo answered questions from Members as the men’s squad return to training at Edgbaston ahead of the delayed county season which is scheduled to start from 1 August.

Hain has become a linchpin of the Bears’ batting line-up in all formats. He has really come to the fore in white-ball cricket during the last three years and his batting average of just under 60 puts him emphatically up with the world’s best.

A strong red-ball season in 2019 only embedded him deeper into the national selectors’ notebooks.

Hannon-Dalby, who joined Warwickshire in 2013, had an equally successful 2019 campaign leading the bowling attack as at times the only fit senior seamer on the staff, with 399 championship overs of intelligent and controlled seam-bowling.

For his efforts in a Bears shirt, which includes trophy-winning campaigns in 2014, 2016 and 2018, he had the honour of being awarded his County Cap at the end of the 2019 season.
