First Team Coach Jim Troughton spoke after the Bears were left frustrated following their draw against Northamptonshire at Edgbaston.

“The first two days we were exceptional after bowling a team out winning the toss for 130,” said Troughton.

“We put ourselves in position by the end of the day level and four down. Losing Olly Stone wasn’t a great thing for us but I don’t think we bowled very well.

“You often get windows of opportunity in four-day cricket and that maybe a ten-over spell or thirty minute spell and we had three sessions there to use that lead that we had and didn’t really use it well.”
