The biggest Vitality Blast T20 cricket fixture of the season takes place on Friday 26 June at EdgBLASTon, as Warwickshire Bears take on Worcestershire Rapids.
The fixture is a part of a huge doubleheader at The People’s Home of Cricket, with Bears Women playing Surrey at 3:00pm before the local derby gets under way at 7:00pm. Tickets are still available.
As well as drama between two fierce rivals on the pitch, there’s plenty for fans of all ages to get involved with off it.
The Pravha Fan Zone will be in full swing, hosting the Pravha Band seen at Aintree and Cheltenham Races.
Having made a name for itself across Birmingham, Digbeth Dining Club is also confirmed, with their branding visible throughout the fan village, and a Digbeth Dining Club DJ also entertaining at EdgBLASTon.
We announced earlier this month that the double matchday will support Pride which also coincides with the national Rainbow Laces movement, with players set to lace up their boots in rainbow colours for the women’s fixture against Surrey and the men’s fixture against Worcestershire.
Fans can also visit the Windrush exhibition which was displayed for the first time at Edgbaston on Monday 22 June. Recognising the contribution of the Windrush generation, the exhibition highlights the impact of legendary West Indian players such as Clive Lloyd and Sir Viv Richards, alongside the vibrant supporters who became cultural icons throughout the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
Topping it all off, there will be face painters, a hat customisation station, and there will be live music in the exhibition hall throughout the afternoon, celebrating the talents of artists across the region.
