Warwickshire County Cricket Club and Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care are marking the return of county cricket from 1 August by announcing an enhanced five-year partnership.

Scrivens is now Warwickshire’s lead partner for First Class and List A cricket, with its list of associated rights in the new package including lead branding on the front of Warwickshire’s Bob Willis Trophy/County Championship shirt and Royal London Cup shirt until at least the end of the 2024 season. Scrivens will also continue to have naming rights and branding on the old Press Box Stand and will be positioned on the sleeve of the Bears new Vitality Blast shirt.

As a family owned and managed business, Scrivens has more than 180 optical and hearing care branches across the country, which have reopened for business following the COVID-19 outbreak. They had been working with Warwickshire CCC since 2013 and subsequently became the First Class cricket front of shirt partner in 2015, before expanding the agreement further to now become the lead Warwickshire partner.

“The team at Scrivens are actively engaged in everything that the Bears do on and off the pitch and they have been an outstanding partner to the Club since 2013.

Ben Seifas, Commercial Partnerships Manager at Warwickshire CCC

“We’re thrilled that we can extend our agreement on a long-term basis, which will ensure that the partnership runs for at least 11 years.”

Nicholas Georgevic, CEO and Chairman at Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care, said: “We are delighted to be continuing our sponsorship of Warwickshire County Cricket Club as lead Partner. We are thrilled that, as sponsor of the County team shirt, we will get to see some play this year. We are living in exceptional times and recognise the vital role sport, such as cricket, has on our physical health and mental wellbeing.  We look forward to the day that we can once again return to Edgbaston and support our county and national team from the Scrivens Stand.”

Warwickshire CCC recently announced that its new limited overs playing shirts for the Royal London Cup and Vitality Blast are produced from a new, more sustainable material created by PlayerLayer, which comes from a 50 per cent mix of bamboo and charcoal with polyester.

The shirt to be worn by the Bears in the Royal London Cup will be unveiled later in the year.
