Warwickshire County Cricket Club has secured an extension to its long-standing commercial partnership with Drayton Manor Park until the end of 2019.
As the official Theme Park of Warwickshire CCC and Birmingham Bears, the club’s T20 team, Drayton Manor Park retains naming rights to the Family Stand at Edgbaston and will continue to provide more family-themed activities at NatWest T20 Blast matches this summer.
Drayton Manor will give a complimentary admission ticket to the theme park to each Junior Bears member, the Club’s membership for fans aged under 16, and will be the lead partner for the West Midlands Mascot Derby; a race between the mascots of local sporting teams at Edgbaston, which takes place in the interval of Birmingham Bears’ NatWest T20 Blast derby against Worcestershire Rapids on Friday 4 August.
Since 2014 this partnership has allowed us to not only showcase our brand in such a magnificent cricket arena but also engage with our target market, families. .

Gareth Roberts, Commercial Director at Warwickshire CCC, said: “We’re committed to making cricket as attractive as possible to a younger audience, and our partnership with Drayton Manor supports this goal, by enhancing our match day experience at Birmingham Bears games and rewarding our Junior Bears Club members.
“Drayton Manor has been part of our Commercial Partners programme since 2014 and we’re thrilled to extend our relationship with one of the leading theme parks in the United Kingdom, and we look forward to developing this innovative, new activation programme with its team.”
Birmingham Bears play seven NatWest T20 Blast matches at Edgbaston, starting against Notts Outlaws on the evening of Saturday 4 July, with admission for all children aged under 16 completely free with a paying adult.
In addition to Birmingham Bears’ T20 schedule, Edgbaston hosts one of its biggest programmes of major match cricket this summer, which includes five matches in the ICC Champions Trophy, England’s inaugural Day/Night Investec Test match against the West Indies and NatWest T20 Blast Finals Day.
Colin Bryan, CEO of Drayton Manor Park, said: “We are delighted to continue our sponsorship with Warwickshire County Cricket Club.
“Since 2014 this partnership has allowed us to not only showcase our brand in such a magnificent cricket arena but also engage with our target market, families. We hope the next two years are just as successful, as we look forward to developing the partnership further.”
