Warwickshire County Cricket Club has extended its partnership with Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care to continue as the lead sponsor on its County Championship playing shirt for the next three years.

Scrivens – which has a national network of 177 branches and its headquarters in Birmingham – started working with Warwickshire CCC as its Official Eye & Hearing Care Partner in 2013, with the partnership extending to the front of all County Championship shirts in 2015.

This new agreement also secures Scrivens the naming rights to the former Press Box Stand at Edgbaston, whilst the company will enhance its level of support for the club by providing annual eye checks for the Warwickshire playing squad and providing club Members with preferential rates on eye and hearing tests at its branches.

Gareth Roberts, Commercial Director at Warwickshire CCC, said: “Scrivens have been an outstanding partner for the last four years and, in this time, we’ve seen its rights develop from the back of the shirt to a primary, front of shirt agreement, whilst also extending its range of eye and hearing care services to players and Members.

“The new agreement comes at a very exciting time for the club and Edgbaston as we host our biggest ever programme of major match cricket and have made the recent cricketing appointment of Ashley Giles as Sport Director and Jim Troughton as First Team Coach.”

In 2017 Edgbaston hosts 11 major match cricket days, including five matches in the ICC Champions Trophy, England’s first day/night Investec Test match against the West Indies and NatWest T20 Blast Finals Day.

Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care Chairman, Nicholas Georgevic, said: “Working closely with Warwickshire CCC and Edgbaston has proved to be a winning combination, which has given a real boost to the Scrivens brand in helping to drive greater awareness and interest in the optical and hearing care we provide all across the country.”

“The schedule of international cricket at Edgbaston over the next three years will provide an even greater opportunity for us to increase our visibility to new and existing customers and we are both proud and delighted to extend our partnership with Warwickshire until 2019.”
