The new deal is being used by Complete Cricket to further develop its cricket coaching programmes across the Midlands

Warwickshire County Cricket Club has secured a new commercial partnership with Solihull-based cricket coaching specialists Complete Cricket.

As part of a three-year partnership that provides branding on the back of Warwickshire’s Specsavers County Championship shirt, the new deal is being used by Complete Cricket to further develop its cricket coaching programmes across the Midlands, which support the development of young cricketers that have ambitions to reach the professional game as well as those that just want to play the game for fun.

Ben Seifas, Commercial Partnerships Manager at Warwickshire CCC, said: “We’ve had a strong relationship with Complete Cricket for several years, with some of our Warwickshire and Birmingham Bears players and coaches running masterclasses and coaching sessions with its network of young cricketers. In turn, a significant and growing number of these young cricketers have become part of the club’s Player Pathway system and Academy.

“It’s fantastic now to develop this relationship into a formal partnership. Complete Cricket works with many young cricketers across Birmingham, Solihull, Warwickshire and the wider Midlands region and the partnership provides an opportunity to further enhance our relationship with this audience.

“With Warwickshire having achieved promotion back to Division One of the Specsavers County Championship and a combined audience of more than 250,000 spectators expected across Edgbaston’s 11 major match days in 2019, the partnership also gives Complete Cricket a great platform to develop its coaching programmes around the region and beyond.”

Complete Cricket provides high quality coaching to young cricketers – both boys and girls – via academies, schools, clubs, Chance to Shine, All Stars Cricket, national and international cricket tours and private coaching all around the Midlands.

David Smith, Director of Operations at Complete Cricket, said: “We’re delighted to jointly announce this long-term partnership with Warwickshire CCC. The Complete Cricket business is growing very quickly and as the leading independent provider of high quality cricket coaching in the Midlands, we wanted to find a way to support Warwickshire, not just by coaching stars of the future via our academies and training programmes, but by forming a strong, long-term partnership designed to introduce as many boys and girls to the game of cricket as possible at grass roots level.

“Warwickshire’s own Henry Brookes came through the Complete Cricket coaching programme, and there are many more boys and girls in our academies and coaching programmes who in turn will no doubt wear the Bear with pride over the next 10 years and beyond. It’s a very exciting time for Warwickshire and Complete Cricket, and we look forward to sharing a great partnership for many years to come.”
