Warwickshire and Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care are celebrating an unbroken 10-year stand at Edgbaston.
The locally-based company has been a lead partner and shirt sponsor since first striking up a commercial partnership with the Club in 2013 to expand its reach across the region and nationally.
To mark the milestone Warwickshire Chief Executive Stuart Cain presented owners Nicholas and Mark Georgevic with a “Scrivens 10” signed shirt during the Bears Vitality Blast game against Northants Steelbacks on Friday (9 June).
“Ten years, what an amazing innings, still going strong and hopefully many more years to come,” said Cain. “I’d just like to say thank-you on behalf of everyone at the Club for all that Scrivens have done here.
“It’s brilliant that one of Warwickshire’s biggest sporting institutions has worked so well with one of the West Midlands leading companies. They’ve also supported off the field as well, getting involved in community and charity projects.
“It’s great we’ve formed such a strong bond over the years and hopefully we can win a few more trophies for us to celebrate together.”
Scrivens was founded in 1938 and now has more than 170 stores across England.
The company has seen considerable success during the decade-long partnership with the Club, including a Division Two title win in 2018 and the 2021 County Championship / Bob Willis Trophy double.
Nicholas Georgevic, Chairman & Chief Executive of Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care, added: “It has been both a pleasure and a privilege for Scrivens to have been the main sponsor of the County shirt at Warwickshire since 2013.
“Mark and I have actually been huge fans of the club since the 1970’s so our relationship with Warwickshire has, in fact, been on-going for over 50 years!
“For a similarly Midlands based business like Scrivens to be celebrating our 10th anniversary as main sponsor of Warwickshire County Cricket Club, such an important, successful but equally local institution, is a matter of huge pride to Mark and me.
“We look forward to our relationship continuing for many years to come.”
