Bears will face Team Abu Dhabi and Yorkshire in a T20 tournament as the team’s pre-season tour in the Middle East hots up this weekend.

Mark Robinson’s side start with a match against a hosts’ Select XI on Friday (15 March, 2.15pm GMT) followed by Yorkshire Vikings on Saturday (16 March, 10.15am GMT).

The games will be live streamed and Bears fans can watch both matches free through the Club’s Match Centre.

Nottinghamshire, Essex and Somerset are also competing in the tournament – taking place at Zayed Cricket Academy complex in Abu Dhabi – with a Finals Day scheduled for Sunday 17 March.

Matches and timings for Sunday will be confirmed after the initial games have been played.

Attention turns to red ball action the following week as Warwickshire take on Yorkshire in a two-day fixture on Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 March. Action gets underway on both days at 10am local time (6am GMT).

The 90-overs per day warm-up won’t be live steamed but updates will be shared across the Club’s social media channels and at edgbaston.com.

The squad fly home on Friday 22 March ahead of a warm-up match against Leicestershire from Tuesday 26 to Thursday 28 March.

It’s being played behind closed doors while Edgbaston staff continue to work around the stadium to get it ready for the start of the season. Game updates will be shared across the Club’s social media channels and website.

A Second XI warm-up game against Leicestershire was planned for Portland Road but, due to recent heavy rain and more to come, a decision as been made to call it off.

Warwickshire’s preparations continue on Easter Monday (1 April) with an internal match between the Bears squad and training ahead of the mouth-watering campaign opener against local rivals Worcestershire on Friday 5 April.

Tickets for all County Championship matches at Edgbaston are on sale now, with adult tickets £15 and under 16s free. Or supporters can get access to all Warwickshire fixtures in 2024 with Membership, with Junior Bears Membership for under 16s only £10 for the season.
