Chris Woakes and Dan Mousley have been selected in the England Lions squad for two four-day matches against India A.
The Bears duo are included in a 15-player squad for red ball games at the Spitfire Ground in Canterbury from Friday 30 May and the County Ground, Northampton from Friday 6 June.
Allrounder Woakes has been netting at Edgbaston in recent weeks under the watchful eye of England coaches as he continues his recovery from the ankle injury that’s delayed the start to his 2025 season.
The 36-year-old is building back to match fitness and is expected to be included in the Bears squad that travels to New Road on Friday.
Mousley joins the Lions on the back of an impressive outing for a Professional Cricket Clubs XI against the touring Zimbabwe side when he hit 154 in the second innings.

Somerset’s James Rew will captain the Lions for the first time while brothers Farhan and Rehan Ahmed are in the same England representative squad for the first time.
