Warwickshire all-rounder Chris Woakes has moved up the MRF Tyres ICC Player Rankings for Test Bowlers following his performance for England in the second and final Test against Bangladesh in Mirpur.

Woakes (27), who took three for 30 in the first innings, has moved up two places to 18th with 603 points in the bowler rankings.

He also moves up to a career-best of 65th in the MRF Tyres ICC Player Rankings for Test Batsmen following his 49 runs in a ninth-wicket partnership of 99 with Adil Rashid, which helped England secure an initial lead of first innings lead of 24 runs.

Woakes has now won 14 Test caps for England, taking 45 wickets at an average of 25.86 and scoring 521 runs at an average of 34.73. Within the First Class game, he now has 421 wickets at an average of 24.63 and 4,829 runs at an average of 37.14.

The Bears’ all-rounder has played in England’s last eight Test matches and will now travel with the 15-man squad to India for the five-match series, which gets underway in Rajkot on Wednesday 9 November.
