Warwickshire County Cricket Club has signed a new commercial agreement with Audley Villages to be its first Official Luxury Retirement Partner.
Audley is the leading provider of luxury retirement properties and owns a portfolio of seventeen villages across the country. Audley St George’s Place is located within two miles of Edgbaston Stadium and is home to a mix of 95 apartments and cottages for over 55s. Audley will work closely with the club on digital marketing opportunities throughout the one-year partnership term.
In addition, the partnership will grant owners of Audley St George's Place with a limited number of tickets for international fixtures at Edgbaston and club memberships to watch the Warwickshire and Birmingham Bears home games.
Gareth Roberts, Commercial Director at Warwickshire CCC, said: “Audley St George’s Place is an outstanding, luxury retirement complex and we have been very impressed with its range of facilities and apartments during our visits ahead of this partnership agreement.
“We’re delighted to secure this partnership in a new sector for the Club, which includes great opportunities for Audley ahead of our packed programme of major match cricket.”
Edgbaston hosts England’s first ever Day/Night Investec Test match against West Indies on 17 August and NatWest T20 Blast Finals Day on Sunday 2 September.
Overall, the venue hosts a 28-day programme of major match cricket between 2017 and 2019.
Robert Diaper, General Manager, Audley St George’s Place, said: “Edgbaston Stadium is a fantastic venue to have on our doorstep and we look forward to working closely with Warwickshire County Cricket Club throughout this one-year partnership. Much like the renowned cricket club, the village is fast becoming an integral part of the Edgbaston community and I’m sure the owners at St George’s Place will make the most of the tickets available to support the team.”
Founded in 1991, Audley has since established itself as a pioneer in the provision of luxury retirement living. The first Audley village was built fifteen years ago in Kent and today Audley owns a portfolio of thirteen across the country. Audley owners buy their own house or apartment on a 125 year lease with access to the Audley Club facilities and flexible care if needed, enabling them to live an independent and healthy life. Audley is an accredited provider of homecare and a founder member of The Associated Retirement Community Operators, ARCO.
