Edgbaston will host the third and final match of the Men’s Rothesay Test Series between England and West Indies. Before your visit, here are a few top tips:

  • Plan your journey and allow plenty of time to arrive, roads around the stadium will be very busy.
  • Gates open from 9am each day, arrive early and beat the queues.
  • Think green and leave the car at home. There’s lots of great public transport links including our Shuttle Bus from the City Centre.
  • Have your e-tickets ready before you arrive via the Edgbaston app, available for free on iOS and Android.
  • Road closures will be in place on Edgbaston Road before and after play.

Be aware that a five-day train line closure takes place between Bicester North and Leamington Spa (27 – 31 July 2024) which may effect travelling fans. Find out more here.

Car Parking

We encourage spectators, who are able to, to leave their car at home and use public transport wherever possible.

There are many great public transport options (including our Shuttle Bus 501 service), safe cycling paths and walking routes from the city centre. Please note, for this day the Shuttle Bus service pre-match will only run until 2pm.

If you plan to travel by car, we encourage you to pre-book your car parking. Off-site parking is available and can be purchased in advance online here.

Accessible parking for Blue Badge holders for this match is sold out.

Edgbaston Road, from A441 junction to Cannon Hill Road, will be closed from 9ampm to 11am and after play finishes.

Ground Access

Spectators can enter the stadium via their nearest entrance.

Your ticket will show the entrance nearest to your seat, but you can enter via any on the day. If you have hospitality, you can enter via e4/5 entrance (Main Reception).

As you would expect, we will have a thorough safety and security operation in place when you arrive. Bags and personnel will be searched. Please avoid bringing bags, if at all possible.

Our helpful Cricketeers will be on-site when you arrive to help with any questions about your visit.

Seating

Your match ticket via the Edgbaston app will show you which stand you are in and your block and seat number.

Please check your ticket before arriving and familiarise yourself with our Stadium Map.

The Uber Eats Family Stand is alcohol free and no alcohol will be allowed to be consumed in this stand (Blocks 1-3).

Sustainability

Sustainability is important to us at Edgbaston, and we need your support. So when you visit, please think:

  • Travel sustainably and walk, cycle, car share or use public transport if possible. Use the Transport for West Midlands public transport route planner.
  • Take time to put your rubbish in the correct bins, we have plenty of general waste and recycling facilities around the stadium.
  • Choose a vegetarian or vegan food option to help lower your carbon footprint.
  • Return E-Cups to the return points to reduce waste. You can return a maximum of 10 cups and must be aged over 18.
  • Bring a reusable water bottle and make use of the hydration stations and refill points around the ground.

FAQs

When will my tickets be ready for this fixture?

Your match tickets are now available to view via the Edgbaston App, which is free to download on iOS and Android.

Your log-in details will be the same you used to buy tickets online.

The lead booker can quickly and easily share tickets with guests via the app, simply go on the Wallet tab, find the ticket you want to share and select the share button. This will give you a code you can share for your guest to redeem on their app.

No paper tickets will be provided for this match.

What will happen if it rains?

Bad weather may effect your match which will mean a delay in play or no play is possible. The decision on any delay in play is made by the umpires, who are responsible for the players’ safety.

Fans are encouraged to check the weather forecast for their match day before their visit and plan for any bad weather. Please bring a rain coat and umbrellas are allowed.

Areas of some stands (South Stand, Eric Hollies Stand and Skyline) are undercover, but the majority of the ground is open. Fans can take cover in our indoor areas including the concourse of the South Stand and in our Exhibition Hall.

Can I bring food and drink into the ground?

Yes, spectators can bring in their own food and drink subject to the following restrictions:

 

Vitality County Championship and One Day Cup

Spectators are allowed to bring their own food and drink into the stadium, excluding glass bottles.

We ask that you avoid bringing in large bags, if at all possible.

 

International, Vitality Blast Finals Day, Vitality Blast and The Hundred

No alcohol is allowed into the ground for international matches, Vitality Blast Finals Day, Vitality Blast and The Hundred.

As you would expect, we will have a thorough safety and security operation in place when you arrive. Bags and personnel will be searched. Please avoid bringing bags, if at all possible.

There are some items you can’t bring into the ground;

  • No alcohol.
  • No glass bottles.
  • Spectators can bring in their own food and drink subject to the above restrictions.
  • No fireworks or flares.
  • No weapons, firearms or any other items considered dangerous.
  • Flags, Clothing, Banners, or other signs that are offensive, racist, or commercially or politically motivated.
  • No instruments, whistles or horns, unless agreed in advance.

This policy helps to ensure the safety and comfort of spectators in attendance at Edgbaston on our busier match days.

Will food and drink be available to purchase on the day?

Yes, food and drink, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, will be available around the stadium for spectators. Availability will vary depending on fixture.

Spectators can order food and drink for Click & Collect from their seat using the Edgbaston app, available from selected bars on selected match days. To order, simply download the Edgbaston app on iOS or Android and visit the Shop section.

Spectators are allowed and encouraged to bring their own food and drink into the stadium, but no alcohol or glass bottles are allowed at International, The Hundred or Vitality Blast fixtures.

How do I report abuse on a match day?

If bad behaviour is spoiling your day or if you need to report any form of abuse, you can contact our stewards team quickly and easily via the Edgbaston app.

You can do this by clicking on the Customer Services button which will be at the top of the Home and My Visit tabs.

 

Refund policy for England Men v West Indies Test tickets

For Days 1 to 5 of the Test Match: If, for the day for which the ticket is valid, play does not take place OR play is restricted, you will be entitled to a refund of only the match ticket value subject to there being: (a) zero to 15 overs played – a full refund; (b) 15.1 overs to 30 overs played – a 50% refund. In no other circumstances can money be refunded.

Refunds will be made automatically to the purchaser only, via the original payment method refunding to a debit or credit card or by sending a cheque. For refund queries please email tickets@edgbaston.com. Also visit ecb.co.uk/refundscheme. Please allow 30 days for your refund to be processed.
