How will the Go Green Game be a sustainable match?
The Women’s IT20 between England and India at Edgbaston on Saturday 12 July will be our Go Green Game in 2025 – following the success of our inaugural sustainable match day in 2023.
The fixture will be used to drive down emissions and the match’s carbon footprint, whilst aiming to raise sustainability awareness amongst fans and the wider community.
The stadium has secured a mix of solar, wind and hydro power for September, to ensure preparation days, matchday and clean-up days for the IT20 are covered by locally sourced renewable energy. While other initiatives such as no single-use plastic, free public transport from National Express West Midlands will be deployed.
