Ready to challenge

Having played 22 first-team games across the formats in 2019, Liam will be looking to challenge hard for a place in Bears’ top order in both red and white-ball cricket this year.

Highly-rated in Birmingham and beyond, Liam was a regular member of the national Under 19s set-up and he scored a World Cup century against Canada in January 2018.

“Liam is a very promising batter that has come through the Warwickshire pathway and shown real signs of progress over the past few years.”

He was given his first championship outings by Warwickshire at the end of 2017 and was only denied further chances in 2018 by the fine form of the top four in situ.

Capable of taking the bowling by the scruff of the neck, the Staffordshire-born player is also very much a force in white-ball cricket as an attacking batsman who can also contribute some tidy off-spin.
