Homegrown seamer
In October 2020 Birmingham-born Johal became the fifth home-grown Warwickshire men’s cricketer in the last two years to join the senior squad after an impressive spell with the Second XI and time training with the professionals.
Having recently studied at Sandwell College and Oldbury Academy, Johal has been a Bear since the under 11s age group and currently takes the new ball for West Bromwich Dartmouth in the Birmingham & District Premier League.
The all-rounder has featured heavily in the last two season for the Second XI as well as featuring for Staffordshire.
“Throughout last winter and ahead of this recent season, Manraj has put himself forward for extra sessions, but he has also shown an understanding of how a fast bowler should prepare by dedicating a lot of time to his strength and conditioning.”
