Mark Robinson

First Team Coach

Glittering track record

When Warwickshire appointed Mark Robinson as First Team Coach early in 2021, they knew they were getting a man accustomed to winning.

Robbo was England women’s head coach between 2015 and 2019 and guided them to the pinnacle of World Cup glory in 2017. Before that, he had proved himself a serial winner at the helm of a county, leading Sussex to six trophies in 10 years, including County Championship titles in 2006 and 2007.

“He has an outstanding reputation as a coach and for winning the biggest trophies in the game, and we’re delighted to secure him as our new men’s First Team Coach.”

Paul Farbrace

Director of Cricket

A great man-manager alongside his immense experience and coaching skills, Robbo came to Edgbaston on a mission to add to that glittering track record.

“Warwickshire is a county that I have always admired for doing things in the right way and which has always produced teams that are difficult to beat,” he said. “It is a great opportunity for this team to create another memorable era for the Bears.”

And he certainly did. On a memorable final day in September 2021, the Bears claimed their eighth County Championship title.
