Back home

World class all-rounder Mo returned to where his dazzling career began when he rejoined the Bears from Worcestershire for the 2023 season.

Birmingham-born Mo, who attended Moseley School, came through the Edgbaston Academy and became the second-youngest batter to score a first-class half-century for the club before joining the Pears.

A stellar international career followed, bringing more than 250 appearances for England for whom he has scored more than 1,000 runs in each of the three formats.

“I’m delighted to return home to Edgbaston. I was born and raised just a few miles away from the stadium. When the opportunity presented itself, it was a decision I couldn’t say no to and I believe I have unfinished business at the Bears.”

All Rounder

He became a linchpin of the national white-ball teams and has T20 and 50-over World Cup winner’s medals.

A true leader, he has experience captaining both England, Worcestershire and Birmingham Phoenix – plus franchise T20 teams around the world. Valuable experience he can bring to Edgbaston.

A glorious batter, able to change the course of a match in minutes, and wily spin-bowler, the 35-year-old is back in Brum to complete unfinished business with the Bears. A prospect for fans to savour.
