1,000 victims… and counting

Ambrose has become part of the furniture behind the furniture since joining Warwickshire from Sussex in 2006.

His contribution to the Bears has been immense in all formats. In 2019 he passed 1,000 career dismissals across the formats and is now second only to Geoff Humpage as the keeper with most victims in the club’s history.

“Tim continues to be one of the leading wicket-keepers in the domestic game and will go down as a true Warwickshire great when he eventually hangs up his gloves.”

Alongside that wicketkeeping excellence, Ambrose has scored over 11,000 first-class runs, an incredible effort of sustained quality which has seen him represent England with distinction in all formats.

In 2016, the Bears awarded him a well-deserved Benefit Year in recognition of his service to the club.

Highly-experienced though he is, our tenacious Aussie-born keeper, invariably at his best when the pressure is highest, still has plenty to give.
