Responsible travel starts here.
As the country slowly changes its lockdown measures, partners West Midlands Railway are asking you to only travel by train if your journey is necessary to help keep services for essential workers.
They will be running the longest trains and the most frequent service they possibly can, but the current social distancing rules mean there are far fewer places for passengers than normal.
If you have no alternative, then please read their travel guidelines which will help you understand how you need to prepare before you set off including: wear a face covering, carry hand sanitiser and wash your hands before/after your travel.
Please remember – all train times and service frequency have changed, we need you to plan ahead and buy online and avoid busier times if you can. Read their helpful travel guidelines at wmr.uk/coronavirus.
Matchday parking can be pre-booked at edgbaston.com for all major matches at Edgbaston.
Please do not contemplate driving without first booking your car park space – there are only a limited number of spaces available and this will guarantee you a parking spot close to the stadium.
If you are attending an event on a non-matchday, limited on-site parking will be available free-of-charge.
Shuttle Bus service will be available for all Major Matches in 2020. It will also run on selected Birmingham Bears fixtures (excluding Sunday fixtures), please check the match Spectator Guide for details.
The 501 Shuttle Bus pick-up point is located from right outside New Street Station on Smallbrook Queensway (opposite TK Maxx and close to the Bullring). The service is convenient for users of both New Street and Moor Street Train Stations.
Buses will be running back from the stadium to the city centre after the close of play.
A return journey on the shuttle bus service is available for just £5 for adults and £3.50 for children. You can pre-book your ticket online at edgbaston.com or you can purchase on the day.
There are regular local buses to the ground from south-west Birmingham and the city centre. National Express buses 45 and 47 have services between the city centre and Pershore Road which is a 2-minute walk to the ground.
More information on local buses can be found online at nxbus.co.uk.
