We encourage all spectators attending a fixture this summer to leave the car at home and use public transport. There’s lots of great rail and bus links within Birmingham and the local area.
If you plan to travel by car, parking can be pre-booked for our Major Match, Vitality Blast and The Hundred fixtures at parkthecar.com, subject to availability.
Please do not travel without first booking your car park space. There are only a limited number of spaces available and this will guarantee you a parking spot close to the stadium.
No car parking will be available to purchase for our LV= Insurance County Championship and One-Day Cup fixtures. Pay and display parking spaces can be accessed at Queen’s Ride, across the road from Edgbaston, by the MAC at Cannon Hill Park.
Accessible parking for Blue Badge holders will be available and spaces are required to be reserved in advance online at tickets.edgbaston.com.
If you are attending an event on a non-matchday, limited on-site parking will be available free-of-charge. Please speak to your event organiser for more information.
Shuttle Bus service will be available for selected fixtures in 2023, including all Major Matches and The Hundred fixtures.
The 501 Shuttle Bus pick-up point is located from right outside New Street Station on Smallbrook Queensway (opposite TK Maxx and close to the Bullring). The service is convenient for users of both New Street and Moor Street Train Stations.
Buses will be running to and from the stadium and City Centre before play starts and after the close of play.
A day pass on the shuttle bus service is available for just £5 for adults and £3.50 for children.
To ensure the safety of spectators attending our busier match days, we will have road closures in place on Edgbaston Road, from A441 junction to Cannon Hill Road. We will have road closures in place on the following dates:
England v Australia Men’s Ashes Test Match, 16-20 June – two hours before (9am-11am) and after play finishes
England v Australia Women’s Ashes IT20, 1 July – two hours before (4.30pm-6.30pm) and after play finishes
England v New Zealand Men’s IT20, 9 July – two hours before (12.30pm-2.30pm) and after play finishes
Vitality Blast Finals Day, 15 July – two hours before (9am-11am) and after play finishes
The Hundred fixtures, August – two hours before start of play and after play finishes
Road closures are subject to change.
There are regular local buses to the ground from south-west Birmingham and the City Centre. National Express buses 45 and 47 have services between the City Centre and Pershore Road which is a 2-minute walk to the ground.
More information on local buses can be found online at nxbus.co.uk.
