There are opportunities for women and girls of all ages and level of experience to play cricket in Warwickshire, as well as pathways for coaches, scorers and umpires.

Watch Women’s Cricket

Edgbaston Stadium hosts some of the world’s best female cricketers in both domestic and international action.

Bears, Birmingham Phoenix, Central Sparks and international teams have all been in action at Edgbaston Stadium.

Girls Cricket

U11 & U13 Softball Festivals

Allow those new to cricket or have played some cricket more playing experience. It’s a real stepping stone at the start of a young girls cricket journey. There are no overall winners or losers, its about giving girls a chance to play cricket and creating memorable experiences.

These are perfect for those who have had a taste of dynamos, club cricket or even no experience at all. Format is 8 over pairs cricket.

U11 Softball League

This is for those with some experience of playing (perhaps at festivals) and would like to play regular competitive matches, bridging the gap from festivals to hardball cricket. Format is 16 over pairs cricket.

U13 & U15 Hardball Leagues

Offer a competitive hardball playing opportunity for girls. These are weekly games in a league which clubs will enter sides into each year. Format is 16 over pairs or T20 cricket, 8 aside.

Chance to Shine Street Girls Hubs

Located in areas across Birmingham to provide a free cricket offer to girls in the city.

 
 

Women’s Cricket

Women’s Softball Festivals

Open to any Women wanting to give cricket a go for the first time or those with a softball team. Great social events with a focus on fun, enjoyment and learning to love cricket. Format is 8 over pairs.

Women’s Softball League

For those with experience of Softball cricket wanting a competitive edge a structured league and longer format. Clubs with existing Women’s Softball sides will enter before the start of the season.

Women’s Hardball Cricket

For women with experience of cricket, wanting to take the next step on the cricket ladder. There is a hardball development league for those wanting to gain confidence and experience of playing hardball cricket with like minded women.

West Midlands Womens League

Those experienced girls or women wanting a competitive offer regionally across the midlands. Competitive games and leagues, with three leagues across the West Midlands region.
