Iftkhar Ahmed– Chair

Iftkhar was appointed as Chair of the Members’ Committee in 2022 having served on the Committee since 2019. He is in his current and final term of office which runs until 2028.

Iftkhar is a retired Solicitor and Partner at Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP where he led the major corporates group. He has been involved in some of the significant developments in Birmingham, including the Grand Hotel and HSBC’s HQ at Arena Central.Iftkhar is also a governor at Birmingham City University where he sits on the Audit and Risk Committee as well as on the Estates and Facilities Working Group.

Courtney Rowlands

Courtney Rowlands

Courtney was elected to the Member’s Committee in 2019 and was appointed to the Board in 2022. She is in her current and final term of office which runs until 2028.

Courtney is an Operations Manager in Trade Finance at Lloyds Banking Group, and she has previous experience in independent retail and as a recruitment consultant.

Having grown up in the United States, Courtney was gripped by cricket during the 1993 Ashes series whilst she was studying at the University of St Andrews. She moved to Birmingham in 2011 and immediately became a Warwickshire Member, having been a member at Trent Bridge since 2005.

Lachlan Smith

Lachlan Smith

Lachlan was elected to the Members’ Committee in 2022, and his current term ends in 2028, eligible for one further term.

Lachlan founded and served as the inaugural Chair of Birmingham Unicorns Cricket Club, the world's second-ever fully inclusive LGBTQ+ cricket club from 2020-24. Lachlan continues to work with LGBTQ+ communities across the country, providing opportunities for them to experience cricket through Out4Cricket CIC, established in 2023.

He served as Club Secretary at Weoley Hill and continues to play league cricket for the club. Lachlan is passionate about inclusivity and diversity in cricket, and this extends to his professional life where he is Director of Cloud Chamber, a research and evaluation consultancy that works with the charitable and higher education sectors.

He has worked in the civil service, higher education, and local and state governments in the UK and Australia, and served as Vice-Chair of Birmingham LGBT, the largest LGBT charity in the Midlands, during a period of significant expansion and growth.

Marina Dorward

Marina Dorward

Marina was elected to the Members’ Committee in 2019. Having served two terms, her current and final term of office runs until 2028.

Marina is a Senior HR Manager at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, specialist in organisational development projects and training/coaching with a focus on staff health and well-being.

Marina is currently Chair of the Morris Centre, a not-for-profit private leisure centre for NHS staff at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Marina started watching cricket at Edgbaston as a Junior Bear Member and joined the Committee to ensure that Members’ views are reflected in the Club’s decision making.

Ibrar Hussain


Ibrar Hussain

Ibrar was elected to the Members’ Committee in 2022 and is in his second term, eligible for one further term.

Ibrar has worked in Health and Social Care management for several years working with Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Difficulties. Ibrar has a degree in International Relations and a Masters in International Conflict, Security and Development. Alongside his career, Ibrar is still working in academia by undertaking a PhD in Health and Social Care at the University of Birmingham with his focus on bringing professionals together to improve practice in Integrated Care and has sat on the Graduate Research Board and a number of committees.

Ibrar has grown up in inner-city Birmingham, as a cricket fanatic, and he’s committed to using his role on the Members’ Committee to help the Club build closer relationships with the local community. Ibrar is passionate about inclusion, participation, equality and diversity and has been involved with Sport Birmingham and the Warwickshire Access Team in the past.

Elizabeth Homer

Elizabeth Homer

Elizabeth was elected to the Members’ Committee in 2022 and is in her second term, eligible for one further term.

She retired 10 years ago following a 35-year career in the NHS as a medical secretary and team leader. She is an active member of her local church, heading up the children’s work and the pastoral care team. She helps to run a toddler’s group and enjoys working with vulnerable and disadvantaged families.

Elizabeth was introduced to Warwickshire and indeed to cricket by her late father, who brought her to her first game at Edgbaston in her early teens, when she fell in love with the game and the place. That was over 50 years ago, and cricket has been a major part of her life ever since.

She feels privileged to serve in this capacity and give back to the Club she loves and has been impressed by the way the management have listened to the Members’ Committee and involved them in decision making.

As someone with a lifelong disability herself, Elizabeth has valued the opportunity to represent members with mobility and access issues and is delighted that the Club has set up a subcommittee, with member participation, to look at overcoming barriers and seeking to make Edgbaston as accessible as possible for all.

Stuart Brereton

Stuart Brereton

Stuart was elected to the Members’ Committee in 2022, with his current term running until 2028, and is eligible for one further term.

Born and raised in Birmingham, Stuart has had a lifelong passion for cricket, inspired from a very early age by his father. Cricket is very much a family affair; when they are not attending County Championship, Vitality Blast or Hundred fixtures together, his son Michael is either playing or coaching cricket, and his wife (an ACO qualified scorer) can often be found in the scorebox at Edgbaston, having recently been appointed to the Warwickshire Scoring Panel or other cricket grounds around the country.

Professionally, Stuart has a background in the IT sector, having held a range of technical and managerial and board roles. He currently works as a Linux System Administrator and Cloud Technologies Engineer. Alongside this, he serves as Chair of Governors at Priory School Edgbaston, where he brings strategic oversight, ensures strong governance, and represents a wide and diverse school community with fairness and impartiality.

Stuart places significant importance on his role within the Members’ Committee, recognising it as one of the most vital platforms to represent the collective voice of the membership. He is equally committed and excited with his new role on the Digital Transformation Group, where he is keen to help shape how the Club evolves and engages with members in an increasingly digital world.

Drawing on his experience as Chair of Governors, where balanced judgement, inclusivity, and representing a broad range of people are essential, Stuart is passionate about ensuring that all members feel heard and valued. He strives to represent the full diversity of the membership, regardless of background, age, or perspective, and to support the continued growth and accessibility of the Club at all levels and within the grassroots of the game. He always wears his name badge in the ground, and welcomes a chat at any time.

Ian Head

Ian Head

Ian was elected to the Members’ Committee in 2024 and is in his first term of office which runs until 2027.

Ian retired in September 2023 following 49 years continuous service within law enforcement both as a former police officer and latterly as a Senior Officer in national law enforcement organisations and agencies.

Ian has been both a member and chair of national and international forums and committees in relation to his employment activities.

Ian has been an avid cricket fan and supporter of Warwickshire from the age of 11 when he lived in Moseley, a short walk from Edgbaston and where he has spent many happy hours watching all forms of cricket.

Following his recent retirement Ian now welcomes the opportunity to give something back to the Club and plans to be a fully active and supportive committee member.

Philip Astley-Morton

Philip Astley-Morton

Philip was elected to the Member’s Committee in 2023. His current and second term of office runs until 2029, eligible for one further term.

He is a Chartered Certified Accountant specialising in company turnaround, gaining genuine satisfaction from being able to help rescue struggling businesses.

Philip is a life-long cricket fan and a regular attendee at Edgbaston since relocating to the area in 2007. He is a supporter of all forms of the game and when not following the Bears, he can be found at village cricket grounds watching his son play. Philip recognises the challenges faced by the game in attracting a new audience and is passionate about sharing his love for cricket with new generations He also enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, particularly at their local allotment.

Chris Welton

Chris Welton

Chris was elected to the Members’ Committee in 2025. His current and first term of office runs until 2028, and he is eligible for two further terms.

Chris is a retired primary school teacher, who was most recently an Assistant Principal at a large Birmingham primary school. He is a qualified accountant and previously worked in a number of senior positions in the Local Government.

He has been an avid cricket and football fan, supporting Warwickshire and Coventry City since he was a young boy. He also refereed both able bodied and wheelchair basketball to a high level.

Following his recent retirement Chris now welcomes the opportunity to give something back to Warwickshire and plans to be an active and supportive committee member and a dedicated representative of the Members of Warwickshire CCC.

Tracey was appointed to the Board of Warwickshire County Cricket Club at the 2023 AGM as an Independent Non-Executive Director, following a year as a Co-opted Director. She now serves as Chair, having been appointed in May 2026.

Tracey is an experienced commercial Chief Operating Officer and Human Resources leader who has operated at Board level for over ten years. She completed her executive career at the Central England Co-operative and she holds a number of Non-Executive Director appointments including Auriga Services Ltd, a public benefit entity owned by Severn Trent Water Charitable Trust Fund, and the Civil Service Sports Council.

Tracey previously served on the Board of the Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership Trust and as a School Governor and Member of the Trust Board of Selly Oak School, a special needs school in Birmingham.

Dominic was elected to the Board at the 2023 AGM. His current and second term of office runs until 2029 and is eligible for one further term.

He is an experienced non-executive director with existing roles at Harper Adams University (where he is Chair) and Midland Heart (where he is the Senior Independent Director and Chair of their Finance & Growth committee). Before joining the Board, Dominic was a co-opted member of the Club’s Audit and Risk Committee.

Following a 28-year career in turnaround and restructuring at Deloitte LLP, Dominic is now a partner in the private equity firm, 4D Capital Partners LLP.

Louise was elected to the Board at the 2023 AGM. Her first and current term ends in 2026.

Louise has twenty-five years of experience in marketing and digital leadership roles. She has worked across Leisure, FMCG, and Health & Wellbeing Sectors, which included time with household names Tesco and Marks & Spencer.

Louise is currently part of the Executive Team at Virgin Active.

Richard is currently Chief Operating Officer at Aston University, a Birmingham institution that excels in preparing its students for work and life in an increasingly complex and uncertain world as well as helping the communities of the city to thrive in the face of these challenges.

He has extensive experience working with leaders and organisations to bring about change, across public and private sectors, both in the UK and internationally.

With over 30 years of experience, he has led a wide range of multi-disciplinary teams focused on people, process and culture change, digital and estates transformation working with organisations and people, to help them become the very best that they can be.

He is recognised as a skilled relationship builder and communicator, with a proven ability to inspire and deliver through others coupled with a collaborative approach to leadership, injecting energy into all aspects of his work.

In all of his roles, inside and outside work, he is recognised by friends and colleagues as an out and out, total enthusiast. He is passionate about cricket and has played in the Midlands for over 40 years, continuing to play in the Warwickshire League and lately also for Warwickshire Seniors.

Richard was elected to the Board at the 2024 AGM. His first and current term ends in 2027.

Gabby is an experienced sports and tech professional with a background in working in tech companies. Gabby is currently at a sports SaaS company, Greenfly, where she oversees the partnerships efforts across EMEA.

Prior to joining Greenfly, Gabby held roles at Meta, Google and Copa90 where she was responsible for advising global sports rights owners on their digital and content strategies.

Gabby was appointed to the Board at the 2025 AGM. Her first and current term ends in 2028.

Stuart was appointed Chief Executive of the Club in 2020. He is also a Director of Edgbaston Experience Limited and a Trustee of the Edgbaston Foundation, the Club’s official charity.

Stuart joined Warwickshire CCC from Wasps Holdings where he was Chief Executive. Other previous roles include; Managing Director (Commercial Marketing), NEC Group; Global Managing Partner (Sport), Mindshare/WPP plc; Commercial Director, Rangers FC and Wolverhampton Wanderers FC; European Marketing Services Director, Molson Coors plc.

He currently holds a number of non-executive positions including; Senior Independent Director at Rugby League World Cup 2021, Independent Director at UK Athletics and member of the West Midlands Combined Authority Regional Board for Tourism.

Abraham Khan – Finance Director

Abraham is a Chartered Accountant with more than 15 years’ experience across both the public and private sectors. As Finance Director, he is responsible for overseeing Warwickshire County Cricket Club’s financial strategy, ensuring robust financial discipline across the organisation.

Since joining, Abraham has played a pivotal role in the Club in achieving record revenue and profit. He also manages key financial relationships with Edgbaston Experience, Birmingham Phoenix and the Warwickshire Cricket Foundation.

A member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA), Abraham is known for his strategic insight, collaborative leadership style, and passion for innovation.

Away from Edgbaston, he is actively involved in humanitarian causes. In 2023, he spent five weeks in Pakistan helping communities who had been devasted by the deadly floods. Abraham also enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, particularly at their local allotment.
