Ground staff are fundamental to cricket.

No other surface affects the sport it is played on more than a cricket pitch, and ground staff are vital, as they are instrumental in the enjoyment and safety of those who play on our grounds and pitches.

The aim of Warwickshire Cricket Grounds Association’s (WCGA) is to work in partnership with appropriate individuals, suppliers and agencies to develop both groundskeepers and playing surfaces for all clubs, schools and facilities affiliated to the WCF.

In September 2024, several counties in the Midlands recorded their wettest September ever. If your club is experiencing regular flooding, you can seek advice here.

On Wednesday 11th December at 7pm we are hosting an online session to look at ways in which we can support and assist clubs in Warwickshire and Birmingham. Click here to join.

We are actively relaunching the Grounds Association in Warwickshire. Warwickshire has two qualified ECB Pitch advisors ready to assist clubs in the development and improving of playing surfaces throughout the county.
